Gape hail from a small yet vibrant little town called Llanfairfechan in North Wales. Formed in late 2001 from former band Glow, Gape has been churning out down-tuned, sludgy, and intense hardcore for around 3 and a half years now and has played shows at any given opportunity.
With influences from Converge, Will Haven, Early Korn, Deftones, Norma Jean and Iron Monkey to name a few, gape create music that is quite literally a sonic abortion.
Gape’s live shows have also been given praise for their energetic, full-on craziness…this band does not hide behind their instruments.
A couple of little demo’s have been recorded but in their opinion are not worthy of a good, solid release and this is why gape have been recording in the music technology department in coleg menai every Thursday to maybe one day release either an e.p. Or album. Gape are constantly writing new material and need more shows so give them a shout!
